First Day Back in School After Five Months

After roughly five months of staying and learning at home due to Covid19 pandemic, today (17th August 2020) pupils from Pre-School until Year 6 are finally back to school! Although it is not the usual crowd of nearly 500 pupils, it is safe to say that at least half showed up in school.

From as early as 6.30 a.m., pupils were seen lining up orderly and maintaining physical distancing at the front and back gate of the school. Teachers on duty to take temperature and record attendance were seen bright and early to welcome the pupils.

In terms of recording the pupils' attendance and temperature, the school chose to use the Datang Reader app. This app is totally free, saves a lot of resources such as time and paper, AND it is efficient. By 7 a.m., the pupils were safely screened and in the classrooms to receive briefing from respective class teachers regarding the SOP in the school.

It is hoped that with the pandemic still active, all teachers and pupils will continue to follow the SOP and safeguard each other while the teaching and learning process goes on in the new norm.
